My dad cleans cars for a living and this is how he takes care of dirty interiors. First, vacuum it really well.
For carpeting, dilute some Purple Power cleaning solution with water (3 parts water to 1 part cleaner). Test a piece of carpet that isn't noticable to make sure it isn't going to damage the carpet. Spray the solution on the carpet and let it soak in. Take a cleaning brush and scrub the carpet. Wipe up the solution with a damp cloth. Repeat the spray, scrub, wipe as needed to take care of tough areas. Let it dry and vacuum it again.
For floormats, spray with the purple cleaner then pressure wash. Hang to dry.
For seats and other upholstery he uses Spot Shot carpet and upholstery cleaner. Just follow the directions of the back of the can.
