An authentic harvest-season celebration in one of the most picturesque valleys in the North Carolina mountains at the peak of the fall color season.
Always held the 3rd Saturday in October, and this year on October 17, the Valle Country Fair is a mission of the Church of the Holy Cross in cooperation with the Valle Crucis Conference Center. Some like to describe the Fair as an overgrown church bazaar featuring 160+ art and craft exhibitors, local bluegrass and country music and a wide variety of great food in the center of one of the most picturesque valleys in the North Carolina mountains, but it is also our way to "walk in the way, widen the walls" and reach out to our neighbors.
All net proceeds of the Fair are returned to our community of Avery and Watauga Counties through grants to charitable organizations, and to families in crisis to help them take care of a variety of needs such as buying groceries, paying over-due rent or power bills, purchasing gas to get to work or doctor appointments and filling medical prescriptions.
Free Admission Parking adjacent to the Fair $10 per car/personal vehicle $25 per small bus or van $50 per large bus or motor coach
