Ladyseed

Public Event

Watauga Gun Club

A Ladyseed is an Appleseed designed specifically for ladies. The women who attend a Ladyseed event will learn much more than how to fire a rifle, they will also learn American heritage and the history of how women actively aided in the revolutionary war fight on April 19, 1775.

It is sponsored by the Revolutionary War Veterans Association and typically called an Appleseed event. This event is called a Ladyseed for women only. It is two days in which Lady Instructors will teach Marksmanship and Heritage.

For Marksmanship, participants will be taught the skills necessary to make good hits on a 24 inch target out to 500 yards with a rack grade rifle (any rifle they bring will be acceptable).

With Heritage, they will learn the story of April 19, 1775 of Lexington and Concord and the beginning of the Revolutionary War. We teach this to impress on the participants what was sacrificed in order to acquire the system of government we have today and that we must be vigilant to keep it.
