Enjoy a heart-warming day of holiday magic in the walkabout mountain village of Banner Elk. Events include: ornament making, cookie decorating, holiday movie, parade of lights, Christmas market, storytelling, train rides and lighting of the tree at dusk.

Breakfast with Santa begins the day�s festivities at 9 a.m. at Dunn�s Deli and the fun continues until dusk, when a special Christmas tree lighting ceremony takes place in the field at the historic Banner Elk School.

The lighting ceremony includes children�s train rides through a luminary-lighted park, as well as a live Nativity scene and music by the Lees-McRae Highlanders (a capella group).
