I had a brand new over the counter microwave it quit one day after the warranty ran out. I was told it would be cheaper to buy a new one.

People, never jerk open the door on a microwave to stop it, always use the keypad.

There's only a couple of things that could be wrong.
If you're handy or know someone who is, this will fix it.

Most people just buy a new one. The high price you paid was for the STAINLESS STEEL. Don't do that again.
The guts are the same as the other cheaper ones.

I just bought a new one because of the same problem.
