Joseph T what you are seeing ous the corporate name, not Watauga County as a co-owner. I talked to the owners a couple of years ago for a client about purchasing a parcel tho build a hotel on. The land, part or parcel, was definitely not for sale

No wonder 20-30 year olds act as they do. Their "SO CALLED PARENTS" were to busy stealing or somekind of other methods to amuse themselves instead of amusement of sort for their children. Sad as it may sound or not, yet it be the truth....

The land according to Watauga County tax records is owned by private persons and private entities. Watauga County has no ownership in any of the land Tweetie occupies/Leases.

Wandering Homebody | Posted 9:45 pm, 06/08/2017 | I was looking at the discount ticket prices for parks on the SECU website a few days ago. I noticed the Carowinds and Tweetsie tickets were the exact same price. I just can't see Tweetsie being just as expensive, but kudos to them if they get it.

Carowinds doesn't have an antique steam train as its main attraction to up keep. Parts for the steam engine are no longer made and must be repaired in their Loco shop.
