I am going to assume you have windows 7. If you have a wired mouse, plug that in for now. Now go to the start button and then on the name "computer" on the right side pane, right click on it and select "manage" and then click on that. Now another window will open, click on device manager and stuff will show up on the right side. Look for the "mouse and other pointing devices", click on the triangle beside it and some stuff will show up under it. Now on those under it, right click and uninstall it, it will ask are you sure, click on OK. Do this for each one under the main mouse. Then when they are done, reboot the laptop, those will be reinstalled. Let it sit for about 10 mins to let it finish, then see how the mouse works.
**Windows 10, go to the search bar and type in "control panel" click the result, then go to administrative tools, then computer management, then device manager and then the rest as above.
If that does not do it, you may need to use a wireless or wired mouse instead, the mouse pad could be going bad....thats all I got.

Hi. My laptop pointer (mouse) is freezing up about as soon as I log on. Prior to that, my laptop was working slower than usual. Guys, is this something I can fix, or do I need to take it for repair, and if so, who can fix this? Thanks--I am on my friends laptop, as I cant even get it to come on without immediately freezing up the mouse. Thanks for any suggestions
